Low-key Basava Jayanti in Mysuru

Co-operation and Mysuru District in-Charge Minister S.T. Somashekar offered floral tributes to the statue of the 12th century Saint Basavanna at Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Circle near JSS Mahavidyapeetha in Mysuru, as part of Basava Jayanti celebrations organised by the District Administration this morning in a simple manner amidst lockdown. MP Pratap Simha, former Minister A.H. Vishwanath, MLAs S.A. Ramdas and L. Nagendra, DC Abhiram G. Sankar and City Police Commissioner Dr. Chandragupta were also present. 

Picture shows former Chamarajanagar MP R. Dhruvanarayan and former KR MLA M.K. Somashekar who too offered floral tributes to the statue of Basavanna near JSS Mahavidyapeetha this morning. Also present on the occasion were Deputy Mayor C. Sridhar, former MyLAC Chairman H.A. Venkatesh, Nanjangud MLA B. Harshavardhan, Taluk Panchayat Member Marballi Kumar, Kannada and Culture  Assistant Director H. Channappa and Kannada Activist Moogur Nanjundaswamy.
