Lucky escape for car driver

October 12, 2021

Mysore/Mysuru: A car driver escaped miraculously, when he lost control of the vehicle and rammed it into a electric pole on Mysuru-Hunsur Road on Sunday midnight.

It is leant that a resident of Jayapura in the taluk was proceeding in a Maruti Swift car (KA-09-P-9212) from Paduvarahalli Traffic Signal side towards Kalamandira. When he neared the turning towards Kalamandira, the man behind the wheels of the car is said to have lost control of the car which climbed over the footpath and crashed into the electric pole next to the 100 KV transformer.

Due to the impact, the car and the electric pole has been badly damaged. If the electric pole had come crashing down or if the car had hit the transformer, a major tragedy would have taken place and the driver would have lost his life.

V.V. Puram Traffic Police, who rushed to the spot, have seized the car, but there is no confirmation about the case being registered on the driver. It is learnt that the car driver has paid the fine to CESC for the damages to the electric pole.
