Maaladharis’ Padayatra from Mysuru to Dharmasthala

Hundreds of Maaladharis will start their padayatra to the holy town of Dharmasthala from Kote Anjaneyaswamy temple premises in Mysuru on Feb.17.

The padayatra is being organised by Kuduma Sri Kshethra Dharmasthala Padayatra Seva Trust, said Trust president M.K. Mahadev at press conference held at Pathrakartara Bhavan in the city recently.

On Feb.17, hundreds of Maaladharis will embark on a padayatra at 9.30 pm after offering puja at the temple at 7 pm and reach Dharmasthala on Feb. 26, the auspicious day of Maha Shivarathri.

Food will be provided to the pilgrims throughout their journey. In case of health issues, ambulance services have been provided as a precautionary measure at several places by the Dharmasthala authorities.

Anybody who is above the age of 15 years may participate in this Dharmasthala padayatra, said Mahadev. Concrete Rajanna, Chandrashekar, Kumaresh, Rajamma and Chinnaswamy were present at the press meet.
