Mysore/Mysuru: N.R. Police have arrested a 37-year-old man on charges of murdering his friend at Gandhinagar on May 13. The accused had bludgeoned his friend Suresh to death by smashing the head with a boulder.

The accused has been identified as Peddanna alias Nagaraju of Gandhinagar. Peddanna was arrested on May 15 near Mysuru Bus Stand.

During interrogation, the accused is said to have confessed that he (Peddanna) and Suresh were friends and both of them had fought after consuming liquor following which he killed Suresh.
