Mysuru:  The Horticulture Department which has proposed to hold a mega ‘Mango Mela’ soon in city, will hold talks with mango growers on May 23.

Speaking to Star of Mysore, Senior Assistant Director of Horticulture Dinesh Kumar said the Mango mela is being held for several years now. But this year, the mela could not be organised until now due to elections. As the elections are over now, the department is thinking of organising the mela this month itself, for which the growers have been invited for a meeting that is to take place at 12 noon on May 23, during which the venue and dates will be finalised, he said.
