Mysuru:  Acting on reports of misappropriation of funds, MCC Commissioner K.H. Jagadeesha has transferred some officials in the civic body.

MCC Zone-1 Assistant Commissioner V. Sunil Babu has been posted as Assistant Executive Engineer (JNNURM Division), while Junior Engineer M.N. Mohana  Kumari has been posted as maintenance in-charge of sewage treatment plants at Sewage Farm in Rayanakere.

MCC Zone-8 Assistant Commissioner K. Kuberappa has been given additional charge of MCC Zone-1. Junior Engineers A.R. Kiran Kumar and B.R. Santosh Kumar have each given additional charge of one ward.

It may be recalled here that MCC Corporator M.U. Subbaiah  had alleged that Zone-1 Assistant Commissioner Sunil Babu and Junior Engineer Mohana  Kumari of approving and sanctioning two bills worth Rs.1.40 crore for one work concerning M.G. Road at the MCC Council Meeting held on Jan.29. Following the allegation, Mayor Pushpalatha Jagannath had directed the officials to report at the MCC head office.

Now V. Sunil Babu and Mohana Kumari have been given different postings by the MCC Commissioner.
