MCC warns pig, cattle-rearers

June 21, 2024

Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Commissioner has warned of cracking a whip on stray pigs and cattle, if they are found in public places. In a press release, MCC Commissioner has stated that action will be taken without issuing any prior notice, to rein in pigs and the cattle and they shall be taken directly to either Mysore Pinjrapole Society or Gau Shala.

The stray animals have been littering garbage dumped in dust bins and also coming in the way of smooth flow of traffic, in both MCC limits and outskirts.  Despite issuing several warnings orally, pigs and cattle are still being let out on the streets. Several complaints have been received from the public and hence the pig and cattle-rearers should not leave them in the open, in the interest of people’s health and maintenance of cleanliness, the press release stated further.
