Blind Walk and Music Programme by visually impaired
Mysore/Mysuru: “Rotary Club of Mysore North, in association with N.S. Seva Trust and Karunada Rakshana Vedike, has organised a Mega Job Fair (Bruhat Udyoga Mela) on Dec. 22 followed by a Blind Walk and a Musical Programme by the visually impaired,” said Rotary Mysore North President Rtn. Dr. S.H. Jagadeesh.
Speaking to press persons at Pathrakartara Bhavan in city yesterday, he said that the Udyoga Mela will begin from 9.30 am at Nataraja Kalyana Mantapa in Khille Mohalla. More than 70 companies will participate and recruit for over 1,000 posts. Those who have qualification of 8th standard up to degree can register their names for free and participate in the Udyog Mela.
Same day at 4.30 pm, ‘Apoorva Milana,’ a musical programme by 15 visually impaired persons has been organised at Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha on JLB Road. Prior to the programme, a ‘Blind Walk’ will be taken out by the 15 visually impaired from Chamundipuram Circle to Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha to create awareness on eye donation. Public can also participate in the walk blindfolded.
