Mysuru: It will not be an easy task anymore for teachers working in Government Schools in Mysuru district. The Department of Public Instructions has decided to launch ‘Minchina Sanchara’ to keep a hawk’s eye on the teaching faculties deputed in various Government Schools in order to access the teaching quality.

Speaking to Star of Mysore, DDPI Dr. B.K.S. Vardhan said that similar experiment was executed successfully in Chitradurga where he served as the DDPI and added that it would be launched in Mysuru soon after the Independence Day celebrations.

‘Minchina Sanchara’ features 20 teams comprising three members including a BEO in each team, which will make surprise visits to the School to check on various issues including the quality of teaching, punctuality of teachers, distribution of mid-day meals and implementation of Government schemes and others.

The team will stay in the School the entire day and make note of the lacunae and later hold a meeting with the teachers to inform them about the changes to be brought in the School. These teams will also report to the higher authorities if teachers are found guilty of not executing their works. They will also have the power to initiate necessary action against such teachers.

Currently there are around 1,911 Govt. Primary Schools and 232 High Schools in Mysuru district in which a total of 8,931 teachers are working.
