Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha brings three vocal concerts to the music-lovers on the 12th, 13th and 14th of this month.
Vid. Pattabhiram Pandit will render a vocal concert on Mar. 12 at 6 pm with Vidu. Charulatha Ramanujam on violin, Vid. K.U. Jayachandra Rao on mridanga and Vid. G.S. Ramanujam on ghata. The concert is in memory of B.M. Subbanna, sponsored by Bellur Foundation.
On the evening of Mar. 13, Vidu. P. Ramaa will give a vocal concert accompanied by Vid. C.N. Tyagaraju on violin, Vid. G.S. Nataraj on mridanga and Vidu. Bhargava Halambi on kanjira. This concert is in memory of Gunamba Nanjaraja Urs, sponsored by Harin Nanjaraj Urs.
On Mar. 14 evening, Bangalore Brothers — Vid. M.B. Hariharan and Vid. S. Ashok — will render a vocal duet with Vid. Mattur R. Srinidhi on violin, Vid. B.S. Prashanth on mridanga and Vid. Sharath Kaushik on ghata.
The concert is titled ‘Shivarpanam’, featuring compositions on Lord Shiva owing to the proximity of Mahashivarathri. The concert is sponsored by V. Praphullachandra in memory of Indiradevi Praphullachandra Veeerappa.
