February 14, 2022

Mysore/Mysuru: A moving Maruti Van has been completely gutted in a fire on Azeez Sait Main Road yesterday night and luckily, the occupants of the vehicle escaped with minor burn injuries.

Yesterday about 8 pm, Udayagiri residents Asim Pasha, Shashikumar, Dada Peer, Imran Pasha and Wahid, all tiles-laying professionals, were returning in the van from Rammanahalli side, when the vehicle suddenly caught fire in front of a School on Azeez Sait Main Road.

As soon as the van caught fire, all the five van occupants jumped out of the vehicle. As the van suddenly caught fire, a few of them sustained minor burns and are undergoing treatment at K.R. Hospital. Bannimantap Fire Brigade personnel, who rushed to the spot, managed to extinguish the fire. But the van was completely gutted by then.
