MSMEs appeal for waiver of power bills for two months

November 21, 2020

Mysore/Mysuru: The MSMEs (Medium, small and Micro Enterprises) have appealed the State Government to waive off power bills for two months during the COVID-19 induced lockdown period.

A delegation of MSMEs, which met Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri at her office here on Thursday, submitted a memorandum seeking waiver of power bills for two months.

Maintaining that MSMEs and Printers suffered huge losses during the lockdown that was enforced following the outbreak of the deadly pandemic in March, the delegation members apprised the DC on the severe inconvenience caused to them by the apathetic attitude of CESC.

Pointing out that CESC was making an inordinate delay in the waiver of power bills, which has been ordered by the Union Government, they said that the waiver will largely help in the survival of small enterprises.

MSME Council General Secretary Suresh Kumar Jain, MSME Help Desk’s Mohammad Fazil, women entrepreneur Susheela and others were present.
