The Championship will witness eight teams vying for the title starting from Jan. 11
Mysuru: City-based NR Group, which owns Mysore Warriors franchise in the KSCA Maharaja Trophy, has announced their Mysore Warriors golf team to compete in ensuing Mysore Golf League (MGL) hosted by Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Golf Club (JWGC).
The MGL is set to bring together eight competitive teams from across Mysuru — Mysore Warriors, Grand Serene Royals, Walkmate Aces, Gravity One Vanaja, Naksha Masters, Sandalwood Strikers, Raj Infra Green Legends and Saanvi’s Mysuru Tigers. The Mysore Warriors Golf Team captained by Arjun Ranga, Managing Director, Cycle Pure Agarbathi, will have M.G. Chengappa as the marquee player.
The MGL will be held over several rounds, each with its own unique format. The first round, a Four Ball format, will tee off on Jan. 11, followed by the second round on Jan. 12, which will be a Foursome (Alternate Shot) format. The third round will feature the Team Scramble format on Jan. 18, while the fourth round, a Three-Ball Match Play, will conclude on Jan. 19, with the announcement of the finalists. The final round, featuring all formats, will be held on Jan. 25.
The Mysore Warriors Golf team underwent rigorous training for two days at the renowned TSG Academy in Bengaluru, in an effort to hone in on their skills and ability.
Additionally, in anticipation of the tournament, the team’s official jersey and anthem was launched on Jan. 4, in the presence of JWGC Committee Members and other team owners.
The warriors are keen on giving back to the society and has partnered with Reforest India as their cause partners for Mysore Golf League. The collaboration is with efforts to safeguard the planet and preserve the environment. For every point earned during the tournament, Mysore Warriors is set to plant 10 saplings, with the aim of planting around 1,000 saplings over three weekends of the tournament.

Cycle Pure Agarbathi has made significant strides in fostering a vibrant sports culture. By supporting events including the Tiger Cup and the victorious Mysore Warriors in the 2024 Maharaja Trophy, the organisation has positively impacted the local community and inspired aspiring athletes.
