MRC becomes country’s first: Turf Club to launch online betting

With a motto ‘Play Safe; Stay Safe’ amid COVID pandemic, the MRC this morning launched the online betting Portal — www.betmvsore.com and www.turfwinners.com — for Mysore Winter Races.

With this, MRC became the first Turf Club in the country to launch online betting. Permission has also been given by Karnataka Government to Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) but it has not yet started online activity. Also, Hyderabad Race Club (HRC) and Royal Calcutta Turf Club (RCTC) have got permission from their respective Governments and they too are yet to launch the online facility.

MRC’s web portal is user-friendly and is developed by NorthAlley, a software company, partner of MRC for this online portal. This online portal will help the racing public to place their bets from wherever they are. This webportal will be available on Android/i0S platform. Initially, only racing public of Karnataka will be allowed to use this portal. Users are required to register themselves in the portal to get started. Online software fulfils all the statutory compliance such as GST and TDS.
