Mysuru: In a noble gesture, Kodava Samaja, Mysuru, recently distributed relief cheques to victims of floods and landslides in Kodagu last year. In all, cheques worth Rs.16 lakh were distributed to 50 flood victim families.

The Samaja had constituted  Kodava Samaja Mysore Flood Relief Committee and they had identified beneficiaries through a Committee and screened them for relief fund assistance. Relief cheques were distributed by Samaja President Baliamanda M. Nanaiah, Vice-President Prof. Kambeyanda C. Belliappa, Hon. Secretary Malachira M. Ponnappa, Joint Secretary Ittira Jyoti Kashiappa and Treasurer Mukkatira B. Jeevan.
