 ‘Naari Sambhrama’ marks Women’s Day celebration at IGRMS

Mysore/Mysuru: ‘Naari Sambhrama,’ a programme featuring Bharatanatyam, Dollu Kunitha and Puja Kunitha performed exclusively by women artistes, marked the International Women’s Day celebration at the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS), Southern Regional Centre, located at Wellington House on Irwin Road here on Sunday last.

Speaking after inaugurating the event, IGRMS Officer-in-Charge V. Ashok Vardhan said the ‘Naari Sambhrama’ aimed to celebrate the strength, creativity and cultural heritage upheld by women in the society. He also highlighted the role of women in the preservation, documentation and promotion of India’s rich cultural heritage.

Bharatanatyam teacher Vidushi Jayashri, Supriya, Mysuru paintings artist Pavithra, Radha Gowda and others were present.
