National Education Day at Daksha

Mysore/Mysuru: Daksha College, Mysuru, celebrated National Education Day on Nov.11.  College students spoke on the contribution of Independent India’s first Education Minister Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, their expectations from the new National Education Policy-2020 and the education system of the country.

Abul Kalam Azad was born on Nov.11, 1888 and his contribution to establishing the education foundation in India is recognised by celebrating his birthday as National Education Day across India.

Calling upon the teachers, Founder-Chairman of the College Jayachandra Raju emphasised that education should help us grow, develop and should be much more than teaching from textbooks. Teachers should educate students to be knowledgeable, skilled, innovative, creative, confident, communicative and disciplined.
