Kiran Bhagat of Maharashtra and Rita Priyanka of Palahalli of Srirangapatna Taluk emerged victorious in the men’s and women’s category of National-level Wrestling Competition organised at Pandavapura yesterday.

In the final round, Kiran Bhagat defeated Jasdinder Singh Grewal in just five minutes to emerge victorious.  In the women’s section, Rita Priyanka of Palahalli defeated Bhoomika to emerge as the winner of the tournament.

The tournament was organised by Lorry Owners Association Revanna Abhimanigala Sangha on the occasion of Revanna’s birthday celebration.

Results: Men’s category

Shivaprasadkoth (MEG, Bengaluru) defeated Sagarmoole, Vishnukoth defeated Sandeep Olagunchi, Atish More (Kollapur) defeated Sunil (Punjab).

Women’s category: Prema (Hoshundi) defeated Sonu, Sashi (Haryana) defeated Bastira (Madhugiri).
