National Road Safety Week inaugurated in city

Awareness vehicle launched; Traffic Wardens, Police personnel take Road Safety oath

Mysuru: The Mysuru City Traffic Police, in their bid to make the public understand the importance of Traffic rules and follow them compulsorily, has launched the 29th National Road Safety Week in city.

The Road Safety Week was inaugurated by City Police Commissioner Dr. A. Subramanyeswara Rao at the conference hall in the Superintendent of Police (SP) office premises here this morning. The City Top Cop also flagged off the awareness vehicle.

Traffic Wardens and Police personnel of various ranks took oath on the occasion.

SP Amit Singh, DCPs Dr. N. Vishnuvardhana and Mahaninga B. Nandaganvi, ACP (Traffic) B.L. Venugopal, V.V. Puram Traffic Inspector Amanulla, Siddarthanagar Traffic Inspector Muniyappa, K.R. Traffic Inspector Sathyanarayana, N.R. Traffic Inspector Nagesh, SIs and staff of all Traffic Police Stations were present. The National Road Safety Week will be observed from in city till Apr.29.
