NYK celebrates Foundation Day

Mysore/Mysuru: Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Mysuru, in association with Youth Hostel and Sri Talacauvery Women’s Education Trust, had organised a programme to celebrate NYK’s Foundation Day at the Youth Hostel premises in Saraswathipuram here yesterday.

Speaking after inaugurating the programme, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) B.S. Manjunath Swamy lauded the efforts of NYK for providing avenues to the youth so that they could take part in the process of nation building as well as providing opportunities for the development of their personality and skills. 

Later, Lokayukta SP P.V. Sneha addressed the gathering.

Certificates were distributed to 29 women from different parts of the district who have undergone tailoring training conducted by Sri Talacauvery Women’s Education Trust. Retired employee of NYK Puttaramaiah was felicitated on this occasion.

HR Manager of a private firm K.R. Rajendraprasad, Trust President Nalini Tammaiah, NYK District Co-ordinator S. Siddaramappa and others were present.
