My only objective now is to defeat CM and his close associates: Sreenivasa Prasad

November 16, 2017

Nanjangud: Vowing to defeat Chief Minister Siddharamaiah, his (CM) son Dr. Yathindra Siddharamaiah, District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa and his son Sunil Bose in the forthcoming Assembly polls, former Minister and senior BJP leader V. Sreenivasa Prasad has asserted that he will defeat all his bête noires through support from the people.

Addressing a meeting of his followers and local BJP leaders at the TB here yesterday, Prasad maintained that he has the responsibility of ensuring the win of BJP candidates in 15 Assembly segments of Mysuru and Chamarajanagar districts.

Pointing out that Siddharamaiah is most likely to contest from Chamundeshwari, his son Dr. Yathindra from Varuna and Dr. Mahadevappa or his son Sunil Bose from T. Narasipur, Prasad said that he was working towards ensuring the defeat of all of them in the 2018 Assembly polls.

Observing that his defeat in the Nanjangud by-poll was a victory of corrupt forces, Prasad alleged that Chief Minister Siddharamaiah lacked ‘Samskara.’

Reiterating that Congress won Nanjangud through money power and support from JD(S), Prasad recalled the services he had rendered to Nanjangud constituency when he represented it.

Prasad further said that he is bringing out a booklet on his political life ahead of the forthcoming Assembly polls.

Prasad turned emotional when his followers demanded that he contest the 2018 Assembly polls.

Re-asserting that he would not contest polls anymore, he said that he will give his best to ensure the victory of BJP candidate in the 2018 polls.

Zilla Panchayat (ZP) Member H.S. Dayananda Murthy, leaders Nagaraj, N.C. Basavanna, Balachandran, Kumbralli Subbanna, Sadanand, S.M. Kempanna and others were present during the meeting.
