Infant Jesus Cathedral, Hinkal, has organised Onam celebration in its premises on Sunday (Sept. 11). The celebrations will begin with the Pookkala Malsaram (Flower Rangoli Competition) at 7 am followed by the Solemn Holy Mass at 8.45 am. Rev. Fr. Anjoe Karappally MCBS, Principal, St. Joseph’s School, Udbur, will inaugurate the public function.

Cultural programmes and tug of war competition will be followed by the Onasadhya. The Pookkala Malsaram organised by the Infant Jesus Catholic Centre (IJCC) will be conducted from 7 am to 8.30 am. Registration for the competition will start at 6.30 am. The winners will be awarded cash prizes of Rs. 5,001, Rs. 3,001 and Rs. 1,001 respectively along with Trophies. There will be 6 consolation prizes of Rs. 501 each. Each team shall not exceed 5 members. Only natural flowers, leaves, fruits and grains can be used in the competition.
