One among two caught while fleeing with snatched silver chain

Mysuru: One among the two miscreants, who had snatched a silver chain and was fleeing with the same, was caught by a Traffic Police Constable with the help of the public near City Railway Station here on Monday night.

On Monday night, one Hazaresaab P. Nadaf was walking towards Dasappa Circle from City Railway Station side when two persons confronted him and suddenly snatched the silver chain he was wearing and began to flee from the spot.

The shocked Nadaf began to scream for help which attracted Traffic Constable Mantelingaiah who gave a chase and managed to catch hold of one of the two miscreants with the help of the public. The miscreant, who was caught has identified himself as Tausif Khan of Kalyangiri and disclosed the name of his accomplice as Suhail Khan besides saying that the snatched silver chain was in the procession of Suhail.

Devaraja Police, who have registered a case in this regard, have launched a hunt to nab the absconding Suhail.
