Organisations stage protests for fulfilment of various demands

Mysore/Mysuru: All India Democratic Youth Organisation (AIDYO), Karnataka Pranthya Raitha Sangha and Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) staged separate protest near the Office of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) here this morning, urging the Government for fulfilment of their various demands.

In the first protest, members of AIDYO, condemning the lathi-charge on youth by the Police at Madhya Pradesh, staged a protest near the DC’s Office.

The protesters demanded those responsible for the lathi charge be arrested immediately and the false cases registered against them be withdrawn; announce the results of SSC, Teachers, Railway and Police recruitment exam results among other demands.

District Secretary T.R. Sunil, Anil, Anand, Rehman, Somanna and others took part                                              in the protest.

COVID relief for poor families sought

In the second protest, members of Karnataka Pranthya Raitha Sangha and CITU staged a protest urging for COVID relief for poor families.

The protesters demanded free COVID treatment, Rs. 7,500 as COVID relief to poor families for six months and 10 kg rice to each member of a family for six months. They also urged to withdraw amendments to Labour Laws and Land Reforms Act.

Karnataka Pranthya Raitha Sangha District President Chikkannegowda, CITU District President N.K. Balaji Rao, Chandrashekar, Bharath, Siddaiah and others were present during the protest.
