ORI showcases original manuscripts of Kautilya’s Arthashastra in Delhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi looks at the original manuscripts of Kautilya’s Arthashastra and a nano script of the Sundarkanda preserved at the Oriental Research Institute (ORI), Mysuru, which are now being showcased for the first time at India’s first-ever ‘Gyan Bharatam International Conference 2025,’ from Sept. 11 to 13 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. ORI Director Dr. D.P. Madhusudhanacharya is seen explaining the manuscripts to the PM. The ORI is presenting many priceless pieces of Indian knowledge heritage at the conference organised by the Ministry of Culture. The conference marks the formal launch of the Gyan Bharatam Mission to preserve, digitise, and disseminate India’s vast manuscript heritage, integrating tradition with technology for future generations.
