Over 3,600 devotees take part in ‘Gita Parayana’

As part of Gita Jayanti celebrations, Avadhoota Datta Peetham had organised Sahasragala Sampoorna Bhagavad Gita Parayana’ at Nada Mantapa in Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashram premises on Nanjangud Road in Dattanagar this morning. The event was launched by Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji and Junior Pontiff Datta Vijayananda Theertha Swamiji. Over 3,600 persons, including those aged 4-80 years, chanted Gita in unison — While over 1,600 recited Gita by memorising it, 2,000 persons recited seeing Bhagavad Gita. Sri Ganapathy Swamiji showered flowers and blessed all the participants of Gita Parayana. Avadhoota Datta Peetham conducted free online Gita classes and those who passed Bhagavad Gita exams in first class were awarded gold medals by Sri Ganapathy Swamiji on the occasion.
