Mysuru: City’s tennis prodigy Padmapriya Ramesh Kumar continued with her prime form in the season by winning both Singles and Doubles U-14 National Series Tournament held at Topspin Tennis Academy in Bengaluru on Saturday.

In the Singles finals, Padmapriya beat Pranitha Vattaprambil 7-5, 6-2 in straight sets and Padmapriya and Sasfa pair overcame Parinitha and Krishika Gautham also in straight sets 6-2, 7-6 to win the Doubles title.

Last week, Padmapriya had emerged victorious in the Asian Under 14 Grade A (South Asia) Tournament held in Hyderabad.

A Class 8 student of Excel Public School, Mysuru, Padmapriya is the daughter of Dr. P. Ramesh Kumar, Conservator of Forests (Project Tiger), Mysuru and Dr. Malathi Priya, Conservator of Forests (Mysuru Circle). Raghuveer Ponnuswamy and Pawan are her coaches and Sagar is her fitness trainer.
