Bacha Marati, Ticket Examiner, South Western Railways (SWR), Hubballi Division, has secured Gold Medal in the 67 kg category of the Senior National-level Weightlifting Championship (2021-22) held at Bhubaneswar in Odisha recently. He is the son of Bacha Marati and Parameshwari, residents of Ramanuja Road in Mysuru.
Dandikere Suresh (50), son of Mosaru Mahadevappa and a resident of Dandikere village, Varuna hobli in the taluk, passed away yesterday at the village. He leaves behind one son, one daughter and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were performed at Dandikere, according to family sources.
