Freedom fighters seek hike in Honorarium

Mysuru City and District Freedom Fighters Association has appealed the Government for a  hike in honorarium. Association President Y.C. Revanna  accompanied by  other office-bearers — Puttanna, Rangashetty  and Sheshadri — met Mysuru District Minister S.T. Somashekar at Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru recently and presented a memorandum seeking a hike in honorarium for them.

Ravi (Thammayappa), President of Siddappaji Temple and a resident of Kannegowdana Koppal (K.G. Koppal), passed away yesterday in city. He was 53. He leaves behind his wife, one daughter, one son and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were performed at K.G. Koppal Burial Grounds this morning, according to family sources.
