C.M. Muddaiah (72), a native of Muddanahalli village in the taluk, passed away at his Ramakrishna-nagar residence in Mysuru yesterday. Retired Superintendent at the Sericulture Department, he leaves behind his wife, four sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were performed at his native place today.

Vidu. H.S. Mahalakshmi (86), a renowned Karnatak music vocalist and a resident of Siddarthanagar, passed away yesterday morning in city following a heart attack. A spinster, she leaves behind her family members, relatives, friends and a host of students. Last rites were performed at the foot of Chamundi Hill yesterday evening.
