Painting Expo to conclude tomorrow

Mysuru: As part of Kannada Rajyotsava, a three-day water painting exhibition of renowned artist H.P. Rangaswamy began at Suchitra Art Gallery in Kalamandira yesterday.

Artist H.P. Rangaswamy is a native of Harohalli in Jayapura Hobli of the taluk.

KSGH Music and Performing Arts University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sarvamangala Shankar inaugurated the exhibition.

The expo features a total of 36 paintings of natural environs of Kodagu and Mysuru districts, main thoroughfares of Mysuru city, Metagalli Goods Terminal, Dasara elephants rehearsal, Harangi Dam Road at Kushalnagar, etc.

Senior artist N.B. Kaverappa of Bharani Art Gallery, artistes Aravind Kathi and M. Girija, activist K.S. Narasimhamurthy and others were present.

The expo will be open from 10 am to 7 pm and will conclude tomorrow (Nov. 21). Entry is free.
