Mysore/Mysuru: Pandit Indudhar Nirodi will be given a warm send off at the Guruvandana programme to take place at Ganabharathi in Kuvempunagar at 6 pm tomorrow (Apr. 24).
Industrialist Jagannath Shenoy, artist Rama Bennur and Pandit Nagaraj Havaldar will be the chief guests.
Pandit Indudhar Nirodi had contributed a lot for promotion of Hindustani Music in Mysuru. He had served as a Honorary Visiting Professor at KSGH Music and Performing Arts University of the city. Many noted musicians including Vyasamaurthy Katti, Veerabhadraiah Hiremath, Dr. M.S. Bhaskar, Aditi Upadhya, Onkar Havaldar and Suneetha had trained under him.
He had audio recorded 1,896 works of Bhatkhande’s ‘ Kramika Pustaka Malike’ which went on for six years. These audios and Videos are available at Swara Sankula Sangeetha Sabha.
Pandit Indudhar Nirodi, who had served in Mysuru for 20 years, is now relocating to Mumbai and he will be given a warm send off tomorrow (Apr. 24), according to a press release.
