Passengers injured as mini bus topples on Ring Road

Mysuru: Passengers travelling in a mini bus were injured when the vehicle toppled on Rajivnagar Ring Road here last night.

The mini bus (KA-51 AA-3051), which was proceeding from Ooty, was ferrying residents of HSR Layout back to  Bengaluru. When the vehicle was proceeding on Rajivnagar Ring Road, a bike (KA-09 R-3200) suddenly came in front of the vehicle near Rajivnagar Water Tank.

The driver of the mini bus in a bid to avoid hitting the bike, lost control of the mini bus, resulting in the vehicle toppling and 12 passengers sustaining injuries.

Siddarthanagar Traffic Inspector M. Muniyappa and staff, who rushed to the spot, shifted the injured to Narayana Hospital. The bike rider, identified as Syed, who too was injured in the mishap is said to be critical.
