Mysuru: As part of the nationwide programme, Pension Adalat was held for retired State Government Employees at the Institution of Engineers on JLB Road here and for Retired Railway Employees at the Office of the Divisional Railway Manger (DRM) this morning.
At Institution of Engineers, the Adalat was inaugurated by Additional DC B.R. Poornima. Totally, 55 written complaints were submitted with about 14 from Education Department. The grievances centred around non-payment of revised amount of pension as per UGC scale, discrepancy in pension and family pension.
Speaking on the occasion, Poornima said that the Adalat would be the right platform to sort out problems in banks and treasury.
Lead Bank Manager Venkatachalapathy, District Treasury Joint Director N. Yashoda, Superintendent Venkatesh, Department of Pension and Small Savings Assistant Director H. Krishnegowda and others were present.
DRM office: Totally 62 complaints were received from retired Railway employees, mostly referring to revision of pension as per the 7th Pay Commission.
DRM Aparna Garga, Additional DRM Deva Sahayam and Senior Divisional Personnel Officer R. Prasad were present at the Adalat when we went to press.
