Pits posing danger in Bannimantap

September 5, 2017

Pits which are dug up in front of houses for some repair works about a month ago in Bannimantap ‘C’ Layout, 7th Main, are not closed resulting in these pits posing danger to the residents especially senior citizens and children. One of SOM readers, an 82-year-old retired Railway employee, who has sent this picture, says that despite contacting the Ward representative and the officials concerned, his pleas to close the pits have fallen on deaf ears and added that he placed big stones around the pits to warn others about the danger. Authorities concerned are urged to take steps to close the pits at the earliest.
