Poor quality of road repair results in potholes again

August 7, 2022

Sir,

Consequent upon publishing of my letter in this column twice some months ago, the authorities came up with tarring of a portion of the road (3rd A Cross, in front of Sukrutha PU College) in Dattagalli which was damaged because of movement of trucks loaded heavily with M-sand, bricks and stones that are dumped, stored and sold on the vacant land adjacent to the Dattagalli Ring Road and 3rd A Cross.

The old tarring was so thin like painting without proper metalling. And with rains returning, the road has turned back to its original state of potholes.

I request the authorities and the area Corporator to get the entire road made afresh with proper metalling and sufficient quantity of tar.
