‘Poura Bandhu,’ a book on former Mayor Narayan, will be released at a programme organised under the joint aegis of University of Mysore’s (UoM) N. Rachaiah Study Chair and Karnataka State Federation of Pourakarmika Associations, at Senate Bhavan in Manasagangothri tomorrow (Nov.27).

Announcing this at a press meet here yesterday, the Chair faculty Prof. H.B. Mallikarjunaswamy said that former Chief Minister Siddharamaiah will inaugurate the programme at 11 am. Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader K.H. Muniyappa will release the book. UoM Vice-Chancellor Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar will preside. Former MP R. Dhruvanarayan, MLA L. Nagendra and ex-Mayor Narayan, will be present. Journalist Shivakumar will speak on the book. The programme will also feature a seminar on the topic ‘The Status of Pourakarmikas in Contemporary Karnataka.’  Former UoM faculty Prof. B.P. Maheshchandraguru will deliver the valedictory address at 4 pm.
