March 29, 2019

Mysuru: Stepping up his campaign, BJP candidate MP Pratap Simha went on a whirlwind tour of several villages in the taluk on Thursday.

After the poll authorities validated his nomination, Pratap Simha went on a campaign spree, holding poll rallies at several villages in the taluk falling under Chamundeshwari Constituency.

Simha begun the day on Thursday by offering special prayers at Chandramouleshwara Swamy Temple at Siddalingapura, where he was accorded a warm welcome by the villagers.

Going on a ‘Village run,’ Simha visited 19 villages and three localities in Mysuru city on Thursday.

Simha visited Naganahalli, Kamanakerehundi, Kesare, Hanchya, Sathagalli, Alanahalli, Hosahundi, Bandipalya, Byatahalli, Doddakanya, Chikkakanya, Talur, Murudagalli, Doora, Kellahalli, Jayapura, Marsnahalli, Baradanapura villages in Mysuru taluk and Sharadadevinagar Circle, Ramakrishnanagar and Maruthi Tent in the city.

Highlighting his achievements over the past five years, Simha said Naganahalli Satellite Railway Station, Railway Goods Terminal at Kadakola, expansion of city Railway Station, introduction of more trains and many other Railway projects were his contribution.

Accusing the previous Siddharamaiah Government of doing little for the development of Chamundi Hills, he said that the Union Government has sanctioned Rs. 100 crore for development of the Hill under PRASADA Scheme.

Maintaining that the Ring road was completed only after he became MP, he appealed the people to re-elect Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the sake of the Country’s development and security.

Referring to IT raids on JD(S) leaders, Pratap Simha ruled out BJP’s role in the raids. Alleging that Opposition leaders cry foul whenever the I-T Department raid their houses and offices, Simha wondered why the JD(S) leaders were raising such a hue and cry if they have not done anything wrong.
