Precarious tree branches posing danger in Brindavan Extension

April 13, 2017

The branches of various trees are precariously hanging since few months in Brindavan Extension 1st Stage 1st Main, posing danger to everyone. One of SOM readers and a resident of Brindavan Extension, who has sent the picture, has stated that despite the residents bringing this to the notice of the authorities nothing has been done so far except the ‘BLAME GAME’ with Corporator asking the residents to inform CESC and the CESC officials not taking the complaint over the phone but insist the residents to go to the CESC office and give the complaint in writing and also inform the Forest Department, which has resulted in the problem remaining stagnant. Due to recent rains, some of these branches fell on the High Tension Wires snapping them. Authorities concerned are urged to prune such branches immediately and not wait for the rains and winds to do the job.
