Precast parking lot near bus stand: A welcome move

January 4, 2023

This is with reference to the report on proposed precast parking lot near the KSRTC suburban bus stand (Star of Mysore dated Dec.18).

It is a welcome move and will be of great help for daily commuters and relatives coming to pick up the incoming travellers.

Along with the multilevel parking, it will be useful to make a underpass for the KSRTC buses coming from Bengaluru end  to enter the bus stand without obstruction to Bengaluru-Niligiri (B.N.) Road. If the extent of land permits, it will be good to have some platforms on the opposite side of the present bus station to bring down the congestion due to crossing of the buses on B.N. Road to approach alighting platform.

The experts should consider this aspect so that the work can be completed simultaneously.
