Prof. Baragur Ramachandrappa bereaved

Bengaluru: S. Rajalakshmi (66), wife of renowned Kannada writer Baragur Ramachandrappa, passed away here on Sunday following brief illness.

She had been hospitalised for some time for kidney related ailments. Her eyes were donated as per her wish.

A native of Siddanahalli village in Madhugiri taluk of Tumakuru district, she married Baragur Ramachandrappa over four decades ago and stood solidly behind her husband in all his endeavours in literary field and social work.

Her body was kept for public viewing at the couple’s residence at 11th ‘B’ cross, J.P. Nagar II Phase Bengaluru. Last rites were performed at Banashankari crematorium this afternoon, according to family sources.
