Ramachandra Narayana Nayak (84), former President and present Director of Bharat Ratna Dr. M. Visveswaraya House Building Co-operative Society, passed away at his residence in Vivekanandanagar in city yesterday evening. He had also served as the Joint Director of PU Board.

He leaves behind his wife, one son, one daughter, grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were held at the foot of Chamundi Hill this morning.
