‘Ramayana Yatra’ by Bharat Darshan Special Tourist Train from Nov. 14

Mysuru:  IRCTC, the tourism wing of Ministry of Railways, will run a special tourist train associated with the story of Lord Sriram from the epic Ramayana in the name of “Ramayana Yatra.”

The Ramayana Yatra by the Bharat Darshan Special Tourist Train will start on Nov.14 from Madurai Railway Station.

The train will cover all important destinations associated with the life of Lord Ram in a 15-day all inclusive tour package which is spread both in India as well as Nepal.

The tour package will cover all meals, accommodation and wash and change facilities in dharmashalas, transfers, sight-seeing arrangements. A dedicated tour manager of IRCTC will be travelling with the tourists during the entire trip.

The tourists can board the Ramayana Yatra Special at Madurai, Dindigul, Karur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi and Chennai Central Railway Stations.

The train will then cover important destinations of Ramayana circuit such as Hampi, Nasik, Chitrakut Dham, Darbhanga, Sitamarhi, Janakpur (Nepal), Ayodhya, Nandigram, Allahabad, Shringaverpur, Rameswaram, Devipatinam and Thiruppullani.

The Ramayana Yatra Special train will have an overall capacity of 800 passengers.  Online booking for Ramayana Yatra is available at www.irctctourism.com. The bookings of the train will also be done by the 27 Tourist Facilitation Centres of IRCTC across the country.
