Retd. Hindi Prof. passes away

Mysore/Mysuru: S. Kempalingaiah (92), retired Hindi Professor and a resident of Gokulam, passed away yesterday evening at a private hospital in city following brief illness.

He had also served as the Director of Mysuru-Chamarajanagar Milk Union, as Secretary of JSS Old Students Association and as Vice-President of Veerashaiva Mahasabha of Chamarajanagar District.

Elder brother of retired DCF S. Shivalingaiah, he leaves behind his wife, one daughter, three sons and a host of relatives and friends. 

Last rites were performed at his native place Chandakavadi in Chamarajanagar district this afternoon.
