Retro-fitted two-wheelers distributed to physically challenged people

Mysuru:  Retro-fitted two-wheelers were distributed to 25 physically challenged people of Chamundeshwari constituency by Higher Education Minister G.T. Devegowda at a function held at the office of the District Welfare Officer for Physically Challenged in Tilak Nagar here yesterday.

The vehicles were provided by Department for the Empowerment of Physically Challenged and Senior Citizens together with the office of the District Welfare Officer for Physically Challenged.

The Govt. has sanctioned 210 such vehicles for various constituencies in the district with 31 distributed already in H.D. Kote, 39 in Hunsur, 29 in T. Narasipur, 26 in Periyapatna, 36 in Varuna and Nanjangud. Another 24 will soon be distributed in K.R. Nagar.
