Rider killed after ramming bike into stationary tractor

Nanjangud: A 38-year-old man was killed on the spot after he rammed the bike he was riding into a tractor that was parked on the roadside near Sindhuvalli Gate on Monday night.

The deceased is Venkatesh, a resident of Hosur village in Gundlupet taluk. Venkatesh, who was proceeding towards Nanjangud on Monday night, rammed into the tractor from behind. The tractor was parked on the roadside after it developed a snag. Venkatesh, who suffered serious head injuries, died on the spot.

Nanjangud Traffic Sub-Inspector Jayalakshmi and staff, who rushed to the spot, registered a case, shifted the body to the Government Hospital, where post-mortem was conducted and the body was handed over to the family members.
