April 3, 2017

The 9th week of the ‘Swachha Mysuru – Swastha Jeevana’ programme, launched by Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama as part of its 40-week mission to bring public awareness about cleanliness and environmental protection, was held yesterday in seven different locations of Ghousia Nagar.

Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama Mysuru Adhyaksha Swami Atmajnanandaji, Corporator Akram Shariff and former MLC  D. Madegowda inaugurated the campaign.

Volunteers visited houses individually and requested them to maintain cleanliness in the surroundings. Local residents too joined the campaign in large numbers with about 200 volunteers and 30 MCC workers.

A brochure on ‘Swachha Mysuru – Swastha Jeevana’ was distributed to houses in the locality.
