Rowdy-sheeter arrested for assault on divorced wife

Srirangapatna: A rowdy-sheeter, who had assaulted his divorced wife brutally, has been arrested by the Police.

The accused rowdy-sheeter has been identified as Mahesh, a resident of Hulikere village.

It may be recalled that on May 27, the accused who barged into the Gram Panchayat office, where his divorced wife Geetha was working as a computer operator, had assaulted her with lethal weapon injuring her seriously and a case was registered at KRS Police Station in this regard.

KRS Police, who took up the investigation, were tipped off that the accused Mahesh was near Sathanur in Kanakapura, following which the Cops raided the place and arrested Mahesh. The accused has been remanded to Judicial custody.
