S. Aswathi takes charge as Mandya Deputy Commissioner

Mandya: IAS officer S. Aswathi took charge as the new Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Mandya from outgoing DC Dr. M.V. Venkatesh here on Monday.

Speaking after handing over charge, Dr. Venkatesh, who has been appointed as the Commissioner for Watershed Development at Bengaluru, said that he had served in Mandya district for 18 months and he was thankful to all his sub-ordinates for their co-operation.

New DC S. Aswathi said that the outgoing DC Dr. Venkatesh has apprised her of the problems and issues bothering Mandya district. Pointing out that she will continue the programme started by the outgoing DC, Aswathi said that she will make all efforts for the all-round development of the district.

Additional DC Shylaja, Information Officer Harish and others were present.
