Sadbhavana Diwas at KR Constituency to mark PM Modi’s birthday

September 17, 2018

Mysuru: The status of India has reached the level of Guru and the whole world is looking up to the country for guidance. It is only due to the hard work and dedication of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that this dream of building a Swachh Bharat has been possible, said former Minister and MLA S.A. Ramdas.

He was speaking after inaugurating the ‘Sadbhavana Diwas’ to mark the 69th birthday of PM Modi, here at the CADA Office, after conducting ‘Swachta Abhiyan’ in the 20 Wards of KR Constituency, this morning.

He said that the Prime Minister did not only believe in Swachh Abhiyan, but equally in Swachh administration and this cleanliness drive is for both cleaning the garbage and the corruption mess in the country.

He said that after the launch of ‘Swachta Abhiyan,’ this programme will be carried forward every Sunday from 6.30 am to 8.30 am in KR Constituency. To avoid use of plastics in functions and programmes, steel tumblers will be replaced by plastic glasses as the United Nations itself had declared that use of plastic causes cancer.

There are also plans to launch garbage-free kitchen, he said and added that the ‘Sadruda Bharat’ (Strong India) campaign will be launched in 87 schools in his Constituency. As part of this initiative five children who were born today between 12 midnight and 12 noon were presented baby kits.

Speaking about the eradication of HIV/AIDS, he said that there were 18,626 children who were infected with AIDS. The ancient Indian traditional Ayurveda, Agnihotra and Yogasana treatment had proved that children who were born with HIV infections had been cured. A team from Germany had come and checked the children and after the treatment, no HIV was detected in 14 children. The report will be sent to America and once their opinion comes, a record will be created, he claimed.  MP Pratap Simha also spoke.

On the occasion, teachers, ex-soldiers and soldiers were felicitated.
